Canadian Association of Aquarium Clubs (CAOAC) Convention

May Long Weekend 2013 THIS WEEKEND!!!

Speakers start on Friday May 17!

We are Happy to announce that ACE will be hosting the 2013 CAOAC convention! Once a year, a Canadian aquarium club is selected to host this exciting event. During this amazing weekend, we will be flying in world-class speakers to give presentations on various topics. Additionally, a tropical fish show will be held with many prizes including aquarium related woodcarvings from world famous Brian Walsh.

June Meeting

The next ACE meeting will be June 4th.

The meeting will be held as usual at Allendale Hall, 6330-105A St

Time to start will be at 7:30

Donations of plants, fish and gear are always welcome for our raffle.

President’s Address

Hello everyone, the time is almost upon us for the CAOAC/ACE Convention. We are still looking for a few more sponsors. We have still have 7 classes and 1 best of class still open.

If you wish to show fish, please send in your entry forms to either Luke Stevenson and/or Ken Ealey so that they can start planning out the fish room. Show entry forms can be found here:

The banquet will be Saturday evening, tickets are $50.00/person, please let myself or Michael Pham know if you are attending so that we can let the hotel know how many people to cook for.

We will also be looking for volunteers to help with the setup of the fish room on Friday, please let any of the executives know.

The Edmonton, Reptile and Amphibian Society (ERAS) are also holding their spring expo on May 25th and 26th. I have not committed to a table yet but if there is interest and volunteers I will let them know that we will be attending their expo. Please let me know via email if you wish to volunteer. We have given them a display at our convention this year because of their generosity in allowing us to attend their past expos.

Winter Auction 2013

We had an excellent turnout at the ACE auction on Feburary 24th. There was a large assortment of items for sale and many great deals to be had.  Special thanks to thoses who volunteered; it’s your help that makes the auction possible.
