I hope everyone had an enjoyable fish fry filled summer! The days are getting shorter and colder and it’s that time of year people are spending more time indoors tinkering with their aquariums. I would like our clubs BAP program (Breeders Award Program) to get members involved in sharing our fish breeding experiences. We will work on getting the BAP program up on our website.

For September’s meeting, Birger Kamprath will be presenting an overview on African catfishes. Birger has many years’ experience keeping and breeding the Mochokid catfish of Africa and his talks are very informative. If you have any ideas for our club or for meeting topics, I encourage you to bring them up at the meeting.

School has started and our aquarium for schools program will soon be in full gear. Please inform an executive if you know a classroom that could use an aquarium! Our fall auction will tentatively be early November. The Edmonton Reptile & Amphibian expo is on October 8th and 9th.
